Welcome to first attempted update of the Plockton Brewery website!

The major change over the past 18 months, at least from a brewing perspective, has been the acquisition of a new brew plant from Graham Moss.  This has increased capacity from 1BBL to 2.5BBL, but, more importantly, has seen a significant improvement in both the quality and consistency of the beers produced.  This improvement has been reflected in the increase in sales over the past 12 months - from 65.20HL in 2008, to 131.2HL in 2009

Some new beers have arrived this year, notably Plockton Bay which has proved particularly successful since its introduction in October.  The murky secrets behind the introduction of Starboard! Light (such secrets only available to those who cross my palm with a few pints of Plockton Bay) belie a beer which has done very well considering its unfortunate start in life.  On the less positive side, Dall Winter Sunshine has not proven to be a well received ale and will therefore meet its evolutionary fate this year.

On the horizon is my first bespoke Wedding Ale which will be introduced to an extremely supportive public (they are getting it for free) on 10 June.  Further details to follow.

In the meantime, please have a look around the limited amount of information available on the site at the moment.  I hope to give it considerably more attention this year, brewing permitting!
